Made from 80% Merlot and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, the 2012 Walter Clore Private Reserve is a rich, smoky, plum and coffee bean scented effort that has medium to full-bodied richness, lots of oak, notable tannin and excellent mid-palate depth and concentration. This needs a good decant if drinking anytime soon, as it continued to freshen up with time in the glass. It will be at its best from '17-'27. |
